We first connected through Instagram. Ayaka, a talented ballet dancer with the National Ballet in Prague, reached out for a special project: to document her pregnancy through photography. Even in the biting cold, she was incredibly brave, following every direction with grace and a radiant smile.

I was seven months pregnant and honestly wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable in front of a camera. Rachel suggested the old town early in the morning. I'm so glad she did — the light was soft, and she made the whole thing feel intimate rather than staged. These are photos I'll keep forever."
