We first connected through Instagram. Ayaka, a talented ballet dancer with the National Ballet in Prague, reached out for a special project: to document her pregnancy through photography. Even in the biting cold, she was incredibly brave, following every direction with grace and a radiant smile.

I was seven months pregnant and honestly wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable in front of a camera. Rachel suggested the old town early in the morning. I'm so glad she did. The light was soft, and she made the whole thing feel intimate rather than staged. These are photos I'll keep forever."
